Complete TV Angler (Volume 2)

A Primer For Trout, Pickerel, Bass, and Musky Fishing

Dennis Tourbin

A PASSION FOR FISHING in northern Ontario prompted Canadian pop-artist Dennis Tourbin to embark on a "journey" to record—in words and pictures—all of his fishing exploits during a one year cycle. Based on a full season of fishing, this unusual work contains anecdotes about places and travel, people and the environment, not to mention scores of illustrations of fishing lures, and photographs of his favourite fishing holes. The four volume series is at once a guide and an appreciation of this wonderfully addictive sport, which Tourbin practiced whenever and wherever the opportunity arose. What makes this adventure even more original is that each volume is a facsimile reprduction of Tourbin's own, easy-to-read, hand-written journal. Adventurous and addictive. Let it inspire you to catch and land the "big one", or make your fishing season just that much more fun.

Dennis Tourbin

Author, Artist

Dennis Tourbin, who died unexpectedly of a stroke in May of 1998, was a headline maker in 1995 for two art exhibitions commemorating the 25th anniversary of the October Crisis and the War Measures Act. At the time of his death, he was working on a new series of paintings enigmatically titled The Mystery behind door number 22 at the Motel Gauguin. The third and fourth volumes of The Complete TV Angler have been postponed.
